Walk for Water 2011

On Saturday, March 12, 2011, The San Francisco-Peninsula and San Jose Alumnae Chapters of Delta Sigma Theta, Sorority, Inc. will host the 3rd Annual Walk for Water. The Walk for Water event was created to bring awareness to the need for clean drinking water in places such as Ghana and Kenya. Often, women in these places have to travel 10+ miles to gain access to water.

Funds raised from the Walk for Water will aid in providing water wells in Ghana and water tanks in Kenya in addition to other initiatives focused on environmental awareness and education, health and wellness, water conservation, and hunger awareness.
