The San Francisco-Peninsula Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is a vibrant and energetic chapter committed to serving the San Francisco Peninsula, which extends from San Francisco on the northern end to Sunnyvale on the southern end. It is one of over 900 international chapters of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and among nearly 30 chapters serving the greater Northern California territory.
Since inception in 1979, the San Francisco-Peninsula Alumnae Chapter has addressed issues of importance to the greater Bay Area community through programs, projects and partnerships, including educational scholarships and programs for Bay Area Youth, key health programs geared toward HIV and Breast Cancer Awareness and projects which aid battered, abused and homeless women in improving their life circumstances. The San Francisco-Peninsula Alumnae Chapter maintains active partnerships with the African-American Community Health Advisory Committee, the Peninsula Chapter of Links, Inc., the Northern California UNCF, the San Francisco and San Mateo Chapters of the NAACP a nd the Delta San Francisco-Peninsula Foundation .
The legacy of our Founders is one of scholarship, service and sisterhood manifest through the Five Point Thrusts established by Grand Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc; economic development, educational development, political awareness, international awareness and physical and mental health.
